Resources
There are numerous structures in existence throughout the College of Arts and Letters, the university, and beyond that exist to inform, assist, and support women faculty (and, in some cases, men faculty as well). These structures range from major offices such as Human Resources and the Office of Institutional Equity, to committees at various levels such as the College's Advisory Committee on Women Faculty and the University Committee on Women Faculty and Students, to more informal organizations such as the new WALcome (Women in Arts and Letters Coming Together), which plans to sponsor networking and informational events for women faculty in the college. WALcome also maintains a list of faculty willing to serve as informal, volunteer mentors across departments.
In addition, the College of Arts and Letters Office of the Dean, the Office of the Provost, and the Office of the President all provide a wealth of online access to documentation relevant to women faculty members' concerns, ranging from departmental CAP documents to transcripts of important statements and speeches. These resources should be of use to both faculty and administrators.
